I'm neither naive nor am I a conspiracy theorist. Think about it for a moment, what the hell is the IRS going to do with everyone's purchase records? First, it'd be a violation of the 4th amendment. Second, they'd be inundated with information. Third, you're probably going to say that they'll hand it to the FBI. That's already been tried and shot down by the courts.
