Limbo is like herpes, it won’t go away.

Tom was a subscriber to limbo.com for a while. Well, to be more accurate, he still is, but not by choice. He’s unsubscribed several times via their automated system, and while he gets messages telling him that the unsubscribe was successful, he still gets texts from them. So he’s contacted support. No reply. We’ve even tried calling their voice numbers, and can never get to a live human, so we’ve left voice mails which go unreturned.

So now we’re documenting it here to se if shining some light on Limbo’s nether regions gets some activity going. We’ll be detailing exactly what has happened and how things continue soon.

Verizon FiOS fails for CNBC HD+ SAP

Screenshot of CNBCHD.mov

I made this video after arguing with Verizon about SAP on CNBC+. One even told me that I have to use SAP on my TV, when in fact you can’t output two different sets of audio feeds on Optical/Coaxial (RCA type, not screw type) out (as far as I know). He eventually said he’d tell the video team and they’d call me back within 24 hours (they didn’t) about this issue.

I left my DVR on spanish audio preferred, and eventually, while watching a Starz channel, heard spanish coming out of my speakers. Right then I called Verizon to complain about my previous call not being responded to, and confirming that SAP worked on the DVR directly. The lady was a little confused, but accepted my request. I was still supposed to receive a call from the video team, but still haven’t, unless these calls from Unknown that leave no voicemail are them (I doubt it).

Today I created this video with Cycorder on my iPhone. It demonstrates the faked picture in picture on CNBC HD+ (great channel, by the way), where they say I should press SAP to hear the second audio program. I demonstrate also pressing SAP and showing that the language is set to spanish, but nothing changes. In the video, I also show why I’d prefer to watch CNBC HD+ and listen to the debate instead of simply switching to CSPAN.

I believe that I’m in the right here, that Verizon should carry the SAP for CNBC HD+. Too bad they’re being jerks about it and giving me the runaround.
